There are a number of organizations around the world that have activities aimed at reducing and preventing counterfeiting. We have split these into two sections.
The first contains international organizations that generally have a broader remit in what they do, but anti-counterfeiting is a significant activity within their portfolio. As such, these groups place the issue of counterfeiting within a particular global context.
Then we consider regional or national organizations which play a role on a more local scale, but may still have a broader remit in their activities. In this section we also provide details of specific anti-counterfeiting organizations that have the primary aim of tackling the problem and raising awareness of the issues; either for brand owners or members of the public. These are listed in the country from which they operate from, although some do have an international outlook.
