Welcome to the No to Fakes forum.
This is a forum for anyone who is interested in, or has been affected by, counterfeits in any shape or form; be it watches, handbags, DVDs, pharmaceuticals, or toothpaste, we want to hear what you have to say.
Perhaps you have recently been travelling and have an interesting tale of buying counterfeit goods, either intentionally or unintentionally?
Or maybe you, or someone you know, have experience of counterfeit pharmaceuticals and would like to share this with others.
You can also write a post on our Topic of the Month, which is usually based on a recent counterfeit news story, of which there are plenty!
The idea is to initiate lively discussion and an exchange of ideas. Please be sure to confine your post to the subject of counterfeiting and be aware that we moderate the site to ensure suitability of the material posted.
Topic of the Month
In a recent survey conducted for the BBC’s Money Programme, 61% of people surveyed said they believed buying fake goods was theft, while 10% saw nothing wrong with buying counterfeit goods and a further 21% said they knew it was wrong and probably theft but would still buy a counterfeit anyway.
What do you feel? Is it wrong to support the counterfeit industry, or is it a justifiable way of saving yourself the extra cost of buying the genuine article?
