Botox Minimize

If you look at the Botox® portal, you will find out that there are two types of Botox®: Botox® and Botox® Cosmetic. Botox® is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to treat the abnormal head position and neck pain that happens with cervical dystonia (CD) in adults and to treat certain types of eye muscle problems (strabismus) or abnormal spasm of the eyelids (blepharospasm) in people 12 years and older. This type of Botox® is also injected into the skin to treat the symptoms of severe underarm sweating.

Botox® Cosmetic is also a prescription medicine but is injected into muscles wth the aim of  temporarily improving looks by smoothing out facial lines.

There have recently been quite a few counterfeit Botox® cases publisized, see news items below.

Both Botox® and Botox® Cosmetic are trademarks of Allergan, Inc.
